Ingram Micro Offers Three New Cloud Services, Adds Credit Card Payment Processing Service
Distributor includes N-able remote monitoring, Symantec and Trend Micro cloud security in its cloud services portfolio.
Ingram Micro Inc.s services division said recently that it added three new cloud services to its portfolio, namely, N-able Technologies N-central remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform, Symantec Corp.s Endpoint Protection.cloud (SEP.cloud) and Trend Micro Inc.s Worry-Free Business Security Services.
The distributor previewed the new services from the three vendors to channel partners at its recent Cloud Summit, all of which are immediately available to Ingram resellers in North America, Ingram said.
Cloud security and remote management and monitoring are two must have solution sets for progressive channel partners who are using technology innovation to deliver greater services value and help their customers meet and exceed business goals, said Renée Bergeron, Ingram Micro North America vice president, managed services and cloud computing.
Ingram said that more than 12,000 free reference documents and marketing tools have been downloaded from its cloud web site, which offers some 40 cloud-focused solutions from 25 different technology vendors in North America. The distributor said that the site averages about 25,000 page views per month from 3,500 solution providers and managed service providers (MSPs).
New merchant services
Ingram also said that it had initiated credit card payment services under the Ingram Micro Merchant Services banner, which it launched at RetailNow 2011 in Orlando, FL.
The credit card processing will open additional revenue opportunities for Ingrams channel partners through reselling the merchant services either as part of point-of-sale technology or as a stand alone offering, officials said.
Ingram said that it will provide channel partners with an upfront financial incentive for each service sold and an annuity stream at a percentage of the recurring revenue residuals received from each customer.
