N-able Offers New N-central 7.2 Managed Service Software
Upgrades include automatic patch approvals, enhanced software discovery, improved integration with ConnectWise and Autotask, better remote control functionality.
N-able Technologies said that it is offering version 7.2 of its N-central remote monitoring and management platform, equipped with new automatic patch approvals, better integration with ConnectWise and Autotask, improved software discovery and tools, and a redesigned remote control architecture.
Whats great about N-central 7.2 is that the feature and functionality upgrades add tremendous value for business owners and technicians, said Brendan Spooner, N-able product manager.
This is a very exciting upgrade for N-able and our partners, he said. The N-central 7.X series including 7.0 and 7.1 have proven to be our most successful series of N-central releases to date and I am pleased to report a big thumbs up from our partner base on the release of 7.2.
The automatic patch approval feature is intended to reduce costs and complexity associated with patch management, and the advanced integration automates ticket creation, status updates, suppression of notifications and ticket closure, officials said.
Improved remote control functionality allows technicians to connect directly to devices using UDP hole punching and support environments where outbound SSH support is not allowed, the company said.
Included in the enhanced software discovery and support tools is a new license key inventory report, compliance report and remote control summary report.
Herb Meyerowitz, General Networks Corp. director of technical services, praised 7.2s new features.
The new license key discovery and reporting capabilities within N-central 7.2 make compliance audits and network assessments a breeze, he said.
