Hewlett-Packard Co. said that it has named Marilyn Crouther, a 22-year veteran of the information technology industry, to head its enterprise services business for U.S. government accounts.
Crouther, whose new title is senior vice president and general manager, HP Enterprise Services, U.S. Public Sector region, previously served as vice president, finance for that unit, charged with planning and directing financial and accounting business. She replaces Dennis Stolkey, who was promoted to head HP Enterprise Services for the Americas.
In her new role, Crouther will be responsible for growing HP’s government IT business and strengthening its relationships with federal, state and local agencies, officials said. She is charged with managing the delivery of secure, mission-critical technology infrastructure, applications and business processes to meet the needs of government customers.
“Marilyn is a results-driven executive who will accelerate our efforts in delivering best-in-class services to government clients while maintaining strong client relationships,” said John Visentin, HP Enterprise Services executive vice president and general manager.
“Marilyn’s significant experience in federal contracting, finance and serving our clients makes her ideally placed to achieve these efforts,” he said.
Crouther’s track record includes driving operational and financial improvements in the commercial and private sectors, HP official said. In addition, she commands experience in strategic planning and execution, maintaining client relationships and ensuring compliance with government regulations.
HP said that Crouther recently was named Group/Division CFO of the Year by the Northern Virginia Technology Council CFO Awards.
