Symantec Corp. said it has unwrapped two new initiatives designed to help small- and medium-sized channel partners spark sales by improving the speed and efficiency of marketing campaigns and making better use of the vendors resources. The security software provider said that its two new offerings, the Campaign Creator and the Partner Support Center for Marketing, are important because each helps time- and budget-strapped smaller resellers enact more effective marketing. The Partner Support Center for Marketing, available to Symantecs registered gold, silver and platinum partners in North America and EMEA, offers a single resource for the vendors marketing campaigns, promotions, resources and tools. A designated Symantec contact is available to educate and advise partners on the vendors key marketing initiatives. Campaign Creator gives channel partners a framework to craft custom marketing campaigns. With Campaign Creator and the Partner Support Center for Marketing, were helping our partners make the most of Symantecs marketing initiatives and also helping them more effectively execute their own marketing efforts, said Randy Cochran, Symantec vice president, North America Channel Sales. These new programs will help our partners maximize time and budgets to drive increased demand for their solutions, he said. Symantec said that its Campaign Creator is intended to help channel partners easily create customized, co-branded marketing campaigns, drive new customer leads and maximize revenues. The tool offers templates for creating customized, co-branded email campaigns and flyers along with blast email capability. The vendor said that in addition to providing inbound support through the channel marketing support center, it plans to reach out to partners across multiple segments to improve use of its marketing resources. The marketing support center currently is available in English, German, Spanish, French, Russian and Italian. Symantec said that it will extend the resource to other geographic regions later this year.
