Cisco Systems Inc. said that it is giving a free beta trial version of its WebEx Meetings product to channel partners until the product is made generally available.

According to a blog posted by Anna Sui, community strategist for new media in Cisco’s Global Partner Marketing organization, to qualify, channel partners need only sign up at the Cisco WebEx Meetings beta page.

“As workforces become increasingly mobile, WebEx is the tool that more and more customers (and partners) use to ensure that productivity doesn’t decrease just because you’re not at the office,” Sui wrote.

Sui wrote that this version of WebEx Meetings enables users to hold unlimited online meetings with up to 25 people in each meeting, from one place access agenda, files, recordings, meetings notes, and comments, and share any document or application.

“By integrating all of the collaboration tools and tasks you need for your meetings, you can now host your team meetings from your car, attend a sales forecast presentation from the airport, or share slides from the beach,” she wrote.
