N-able, MSPAlliance to Aid MSPs with Seminars, Training
Series to focus on technical, business end of managed IT services.
N-able Technologies, a remote management and monitoring (RMM) platform provider, said that it has teamed with the MSPAlliance (MSPA), a 15,000-member trade association for cloud- and managed service providers (MSPs) based in Chico, CA, to deliver a series of free seminars, webinars and training focused on the technical and business aspects of managed IT services.
The parties said that they will kick off the effort beginning with a joint webinar on April 11, 2012, featuring Rob Norman, Vnetrix Ltd. chief executive. Vnetrix, based in the U.K., is an N-able MSP Elite Partner, an MSPA member and a specialist in best practice systems management.
In conjunction with the education and resource-based program, MSPAlliance also said that it has endorsed N-able’s N-central managed services platform and MSP Technician Runbook as a standards-based managed services solution.
The vendor’s Runbook, which it unveiled some four months ago, offers MSPs a framework from which to build repeatable, scalable IT processes to improve productivity, utilization and profits. N-able said that hundreds of its MSPs use the Runbook to boost technical efficiency.
“With the introduction of N-central 8, automation manager and our new Runbooks, we’ve pushed innovation to new heights and delivered the next generation of managed IT services software and business enablement tools,” said Gavin Garbutt, N-able chief executive.
Charles Weaver, MSPA president and chief executive, said that N-able’s technology and standards aligned with those of his organization.
“The automation within N-able’s N-central technology and volume of tribal knowledge captured within its new MSP Technician Runbook is astounding and aligns with the criteria outlined in MSPA’s Unified Certification Standard (UCS),” said Weaver.
The UCS is MSPA’s audit and certification process to benchmark and verify managed service providers for customers.
Vnetrix’s Norman also praised N-able’s Runbook as “exactly what we needed to take our business to the next level and really scale our network operations center and IT service offering.”
