Avaya Solutions Provider Taps Vendor’s U.S. Services VP for Exec Operations Post
Jenine Johnson, 25-year IT veteran, brings strong Avaya ties to new post.
Strategic Products and Services (SPS), a Parsippany, NJ-based solutions provider and top Avaya Inc. channel partner, said that it has named Jenine Johnson as its vice president of services and operations, reporting to Jim Felicetti, SPS chief operating officer.
Johnson, who is a 25-year veteran of IT communications, is fresh off her most recent post as Avaya’s former sales vice president, U.S. services. SPS holds Avaya’s Platinum certified Connect status.
Johnson has been on the job already for two weeks, SPS officials said.
“We have had the opportunity to work with Jenine through our Avaya channel relationship and we welcome her to the SPS leadership team,” said Felicetti.
Johnson replaces Vel Johnson, who was promoted to vice president, sales, supporting SPS’ Government Solutions Practice and teaming with Jim Maynard, SPS vice president, sales and marketing, to lead the VAR’s sales organization.
Johnson had been at Avaya for 11 years, serving as vice president, North America sales operations prior to her most recent position at the company. She is credited with improving key metrics such as renewal and point-of-sale attach rates.
SPS is a specialist in converged communication solutions, contact center, advanced IP telephony, unified communications, network infrastructure, video and mobility solutions. The company also holds certifications with Microsoft Corp., Cisco Systems Inc., Extreme Networks and others.
“I look forward to growing our professional service offers to help businesses leverage technology in a way that adds value and is financially feasible,” she said.
