HP Drives Partner Services with New ServiceOne Program

New specialization within PartnerOne program affords partners the opportunity to expand services portfolio and co-brand services with HP.

Hewlett-Packard Co. said it will add a new services specialization called ServiceOne to its PartnerOne program that will enable channel partners to expand their portfolio of professional and consulting services and co-brand offerings with the vendor.

The ServiceOne specialization, which includes a Specialist and Expert level, will be available worldwide beginning in November, the vendor said. Officials characterized the effort as a nod to the burgeoning services opportunity available in the market spurred by new technologies such as cloud computing and virtualization.

By broadening technology services offerings beyond the vendor’s Care Pack Services to include annuity-based professional and consulting services, channel partners will be better positioned to meet customers’ needs, the vendor said.

HP’s technology services are provided under the umbrella of its Always On Support program.

“Partners want to boost their bottom line by delivering innovative services that address every customer need, whether it’s data center design or everyday support,” said Christophe Bouquet, HP vice president, Worldwide Channel Sales, Technology Services.

“With ServiceONE, HP is expanding partners’ business opportunities by enabling them to deliver high-value services while capitalizing on HP sales, technical and marketing resources,” he said.

Under the ServiceOne program, channel partners can offer their own branded services, HP-branded services or co-brand a package with the vendor, officials said. Channel partners will be able to work with HP on joint-sales opportunities, including closing sales, marketing services and solving customers’ technical problems.

HP said that it wants to act as an extension of the partner, providing technical assistance and additional hands as needed.

ServiceOne Expert-level partners will be granted rewards such as custom rebates, discounts and tools to increase revenue opportunities and decrease risk, the vendor said.

One channel partner, Sehi Computer Products, a San Clemente, CA- and Rochester Hills, MI-based HP Elite partner, said that the ServiceOne program will upgrade its service offerings.

”The collaborative nature of HP ServiceONE will enhance our service delivery capabilities while improving margins,” said Mark Sehi, Sehi president.
