HP Offers New Quotation System to Channel Partners
Tool from channelcentral.net to help distributors and resellers cut selling costs and time.
Hewlett-Packard Co. said that it will offer its resellers and distributors a sales quotation service built by channelcentral.net Ltd., a provider of tools and services for channel partners, that enables them to provide accurate quotations faster and more cost effectively.
HP said that channelcentral.net, which also offers ROI tools, sales incentive, marketing, design and copywriting services for channel partners, developed the iQuote system exclusively for the vendors channel partners worldwide.
Under the terms of the agreement, channelcentral.net will configure and manage the iQuote tool to create quotes for HPs PCs, servers, storage, networking, printers and supplies, software and services. Offerings from ISVs can also be included in a quote request, officials said.
HP distributors gain access to the quote by purchasing a subscription from channelcentral.net for their channel partners and sales teams. The iQuote tool can be used either as a standalone service or in conjunction with an existing e-commerce solution.
iQuote enables channel partners to provide fast, accurate quotes for improved customer satisfaction, said Chuck Smith, HP vice president, Business Development, Industry Standard Servers and Software.
The centrally managed platform also enhances channel partners ability to increase margins by attaching options and winning more business, he said.
The iQuote tool is available now to HP distributors in the North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa and will be offered in Asia-Pacific, Japan and Latin America next year, officials said.
