SunGard Adds Enterprise Cloud Services to Channel Program
IT services provider offers IaaS platform customizable to end user requirements.
SunGard Availability Services, a Wayne, PA-based provider of IT operations support, said that it has added enterprise cloud services to its channel portfolio to help partners capitalize on the cloud computing market by offering the vendors fully managed Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform.
The platform is built on VCE Inc.s Vblock technology and intended to run production applications, officials said.
"We are excited to expand the program with our new Enterprise Cloud Services offer and provide an opportunity for our partners to differentiate themselves in the market," said Melissa McCoy, SunGard vice president, channel programs.
McCoy said that adding cloud services to SunGards existing collection of services for consulting, managed hosting, storage and recovery, and business continuity management software, affords the companys channel partners a single source to meet customers IT availability needs.
"With the addition of Enterprise Cloud Services to the existing portfolio of managed hosting and recovery services, companies can leverage the full suite of SunGard services to satisfy their customer's requirements and create a recurring revenue stream for their business."
One SunGard channel partner, Agilysys, welcomed the addition of cloud services to the vendors channel lineup.
"Agilysys has enjoyed a very successful partnership with SunGard, due in large part to the broad portfolio of enterprise-class hosting services available to us as a SunGard Business Partner," said Nancy Pasquariello, Agilysys sales director, Advanced Solutions Group.
"Now as our customers look to move to the cloud, we can offer them the hybrid solutions that their environments demand, she said.
