Avnet Technology Solutions, a distribution arm of Avnet Inc., said that it has signed a distribution agreement with Lincor Solutions Ltd., a provider of a hospital point-of-care healthcare system. The deal further fleshes out Avnets HealthPath practice and provide a vehicle to expand Lincors presence in the healthcare market, officials said. Avnet said that it will distribute Lincors flagship MediVista product, a point-of-care clinical access and entertainment system that allows secure access to electronic health records (EHR), clinical applications, and other services. Lincor said that it has installed some 20,000 units of the MediVista system in 16 countries worldwide. Lincors worldwide technology experience combined with Avnets successful track record of supporting healthcare technology suppliers through our strong VAR network provides an excellent foundation for this new relationship, said Jim Bindon, Avnet HealthPath director. Avnets HealthPath practice helps channel partners to deliver solutions that meet the technology and business needs of medical facilities. The MediVista system will be incorporated into technology solutions the distributor offers through the HealthPath practice.
