Google Now Sports More Than 2,000 Authorized Google Apps Resellers Worldwide

Google Inc. said that since this past April it has doubled the number of resellers participating in its nearly two-year old Google Apps Authorized Reseller program to some 2,000 sanctioned members.

To a certain degree, the company credits its qualification process with helping resellers to understand the business and technical ends of selling Google Apps. Resellers must demonstrate that they can set up a customer with Google Apps and must register initial deployments, which later can be transferred to the partner's control.

Jeff Ragusa, a member of the Google Apps team, said in a blog post this week that the company's reseller program has gained traction within the mainstream IT channel, including VARs, MSPs,web developers and hosters, ISPs and SIs. Read more...
