Motorola Inc.s Solutions business unit said that it has added two new tracks to its PartnerEmpower channel program, one aimed at partners delivering solutions in mobile computing and another for two-way radio, bar code scanning and radio frequency identification (RFID) technologies. Last March, Motorola revamped and rebranded its partner program, structuring it to include all of its partners under one, multi-tiered framework. A month later, the vendor added a specialty program for partners involved in wireless broadband, wireless LAN, security and voice-over-IP (VoIP) technologies. The most recent additions, called the Radio Solutions and Mobile Solutions tracks, are intended to help partners construct product and services for commercial and public sector accounts. The mobile program will be housed under Motorolas enterprise mobility PartnerSelect structure, the company said. Motorola is continuing the journey launched seven months ago that will enable partners to profitably grow their business by empowering them with a program designed to create differentiation and provide innovative, quality-focused technology solutions that address the mobility and communication needs of our customers, said Mike deVente, Motorola Solutions vice president, North America Channels. Officials said that participation in either or both tracks affords channel partners incremental revenue opportunities, access to a broad portfolio of products, training and certification, and marketing, sales and technical support. Each of the Radio Solutions and Mobile Solutions tracks offers channel partners extra rewards and incentives in exchange for attaining certain certification levels and program commitments. Motorolas Radio Solutions track offers six different levels, including segments for Business Radio, Professional and Commercial Radio, Radio Solutions, Federal Government, Manufacturers Representative for state and local, as well as federal government. The focused specialization tracks will benefit our business, as the program recognizes and rewards us for our investment and expertise in Motorola's core mobile technologies and solutions," said Mike Stryczek, American Barcode and RFID chief executive. AB&R, a value-added reseller based in Phoenix, AZ, specializes in providing Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) solutions since 1980.
