The move is yet another indication that data center virtualization is becoming a stronger and more viable revenue opportunity for channel partners. Chris Akerberg, president and COO of Vizioncore, noted the alliance with Tech Data underscores the growing momentum for virtualization solutions in the channel and will allow the vendor to work with VARs to reach new business customers in the commercial, government and education markets.
A second product, vReplicator Software, is a replication solution for VMware infrastructure that enables an entire virtual machine to be replicated, including the operating system, patches, configurations, applications and data, to another physical device.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Vizioncore is a subsidiary of Quest Software.
