HP's Pursues $120 Billion Global Enterprise Printing Market

Joshi suggested that HP will approach the market aggressively. “The growth rate for managed print services is about 5 to 8 percent but we think we can grow at about 17 percent,” he said. “We already have about 2,000 customers for managed print services globally.”

He said that the new unit will make increasing use of its enterprises services capabilities provided by its newly-minted Enterprise Services group, comprised of former EDS staff. He said that about 20 percent of HP’s sales of managed print services currently come through that group.

“There are 600 EDS account reps trained to sell IPG services and solutions,” he said.

HP also is making available certified ISV solutions developed under the Solutions Business Partner program to HP resellers, along with training, product sourcing and technical support.
