Interline Brands sells many different types of merchandise, including plumbing, electrical, hardware, security hardware, and HVAC products. The company has 3,500 employees.

To solve its password-related problems, Interline Brands decided to purchase A10 Networks ID Series network identity management appliances, which include a User Self Service Module for password and account management.

After deploying A10’s ID Series and the User Self Service Web Portal, calls to the help desk were reduced by 17 percent almost right away. Because users can update passwords without the assistance of IT staff, both end users and IT staff are more productive. Because the same input can be updated automatically on multiple systems, human error associated with inputting information manually has been eliminated. Finally, the new system offers enhanced privacy and security, since only the end user knows his or her password.
