Employing 17,000 individuals, Del Monte Foods is a leading food supplier with numerous distribution centers and production facilities throughout North and South America.

To support its business operations, Del Monte Foods relies on numerous Microsoft technologies. Because so many of Del Monte’s customers still submit orders by fax, the company needed an efficient and reliable fax server solution that would integrate with their existing Microsoft IT infrastructure.

To meet their needs, Del Monte chose to work with Open Text Corporation, a Washington-based Microsoft Certified Gold Partner. They implemented the Open Text Fax Server fax software solution, which integrated flawlessly with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, all of which were being used by the company at the time.

The fact that Del Monte's new fax software solution could be integrated with their existing infrastructure was a major advantage, and utilizing the Open Text Fax Server software has benefited the company in other ways as well. The solution is part of the company’s overall messaging environment, allowing Del Monte to save money on telecommunications costs and those related to hardware problems and misplaced fax orders.
