Solution: Precision Results Manufacturing is a tube and sheet metal fabricator based in North Dakota. The company needed to link computers together through a central server to eliminate shutdowns that could potentially stop workflow. The solution also needed to improve their e-mail functions and provide the ability to store large files, as well as provide electronic fax capabilities. 

 

SHEA-PC implemented a solution that included Intel Pentium 4–based desktop computers and a server with dual Intel Xeon 3-GB (gigabyte) processors. The dual Intel Xeon processor-based server runs the Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 operating system. This solution has improved network reliability, saving Precision Results Manufacturing an estimated 20 to 30 office staff hours per week. It has also increased office productivity by 25 percent and increased the company’s data storage and scalability.
