At the same time, it wanted to lower costs, improve service and integrate voice into its web portal. The IBM System I Platform was installed along with a system I IP telephony solution. The college saved money because most of their IT budget can now be spent on developing new applications. The new voice infrastructure has significantly reduced voice costs. Unified messaging has made it easier to communicate important information quickly which had a direct impact on increasing the productivity of both students and staff.
