Solution: First Community Bank operates 64 retail branches in New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Utah. The bank needed a new flexible communications platform to meet the needs of its growing and expanding branches and employees. It also needed to upgrade an existing voicemail system. In general, it needed a system that made it easier for customers and employees to reach everyone everywhere on every device.

The bank chose to go with Cisco and their reseller Advanced Network Management to set up the solution. They deployed a centralized Cisco Unified Communications system that served all branches.

 As a result, the bank provided a better customer experience by giving customers who call the contact center faster and more personalized service. The bank also reduced PBX costs by an estimated $400,000 between 200 and 2007 when 24 new branches, were integrated.  and saved $100,000 annually in service costs. Finally, the bank saved $250,000 annually on reduced circuit costs by using the same circuits for voice and data traffic and allocating bandwidth to voice as needed.
