MSPAlliance Announces Industry Leadership Awards
Managed services association honors three companies and one individual for industry contributions.
The MSPAlliance (MSPA), the worlds largest managed services association with 8,000 members, has just named the recipients of its industry leadership awards, arguably the most prestigious awards in this burgeoning space.
The awards went to one individual and three companies, and were based on their contributions to the managed services industry. Lane Smith, president of DO IT Smarter won the overall leadership award. Anexio took the Green IT award, Innovation Networks was the pick in the Community Service category, and Untangle walked away with the honors for Technology Innovation.
The goal of the MSPAlliance has always been to do good and meaningful work for the managed services industry, said Charles Weaver, president of MSPA in a prepared statement. Staying true to that belief, we felt that it was important not to rank members but to recognize thought-leaders.
Smith, an MSPA board member, was singled out for his long-time advocacy of managed services as a profession and commitment to creating accreditation and certification for MSPs. He helped MSPA develop its recent Accredited Master MSP designation for members that provide reseller opportunities for others MSPs and VARs.
Anexio, a certified green IT MSP, was given the Green IT award for its internal and external application of conservationist IT practices.
Innovation Networks earned its award for its strong community services and values.
MSPA cited Untangle for using technology to achieve effective IT management.
MSPA has more than 8,000 MSPs and technology vendors, which collaborate to define, promote and educate the Managed Services Industry and the end-user consumer on the adoption and use of managed services.
