GFI Adds Anti-Virus to RMM Platform
GFI Software, a Cary, NC-based IT solutions provider, said that it has added anti-virus to its GFI Max RemoteManagement remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform, a move the vendor believes will appeal to its network of 4,200 managed service providers (MSPs).
The company said that it has incorporated its GFI Vipre Anti-virus into the GFI Max RemoteManagement software to enable MSPs to deploy managed anti-virus from the GFI Max Dashboard and address increased demand from customers for managed security solutions.
"Helping MSPs grow their businesses is the driving force behind the innovations we are making in the GFI MAX managed services platform," said Dr. Alistair Forbes, GFI Max general manager.
"Each new service we add to GFI Max is an opportunity for our IT support companies to generate incremental, recurring services revenue that many of the competing RMM platforms are unable to deliver as seamlessly or as cost effectively as we are," he said.
The company said that its anti-virus product will protect customers against viruses, adware, spyware, worms and rootkits, and adds to prior enhancements for its RMM platform that enable MSPs to remotely patch, implement Web monitoring policies, access desktops, laptops and workstations and track and inventory all hardware and software used by their customers.
