Cloud Security Providers Team Up for Google Apps Solution Bundle
Cloud security vendors CloudLock, Backupify and LTech said that they have combined to produce what they are calling a "Secure Cloud Bundle" and are offering it for sale on Google Inc.'s Apps Marketplace.
The companies said that they are selling the bundle--which consists of CloudLock's data protection, Backupify's document backup and LTech's IT management--for $9 per Google Apps user per year for companies with up to 250 employees, or 60 percent less than if the applications were purchased individually.
"We believe in Google Apps Marketplace's potential to become a game changer for companies looking to extend the capabilities of Google Apps," said Gil Zimmermann, CloudLock co-founder and chief executive.
"In creating this bundle, we wanted to find companies that shared our enthusiasm for the Marketplace and offered extended security capabilities for Google Apps admins," he said. "Backupify and LTech exemplified this description and we are excited to partner with them to help companies bring their Google Apps implementations to the next level."
CloudLock, based in Waltham, MA, offers cloud data security solutions directly from the Google Apps Marketplace.
Backupify, headquartered in Cambridge, MA, provides backup for cloud-based data, including search and restore service for Google Apps and other online services such as Facebook, Twitter, Gmail and Flickr. The company said that it has about 140,000 users for its products.
LTech, based in Bridgewater, NJ, offers services to connect businesses to the cloud. Its products include Google Docs Backup, Single Sign On and Power Panel for Google Apps. LTech merged with The Matlen Silver Group Inc., an IT solutions provider to large businesses, in January, 2009.
