Carousel Joins Avaya Developer's Program
Carousel Industries Inc., an Exeter, RI-based technology integrator for voice, video and data, said it has joined Avaya Systems Inc.'s DevConnect program, a community of software and hardware developers, integrators, service providers and end customers.
The Avaya DevConnect program serves as a vehicle for development, testing and co-marketing of third-party, unified communications applications. Carousel's flagship CAPS family of products targets rapid deployment of IP telephony applications.
"Membership in Avaya's developer community will help us build and extend the value of our services to customers with greater efficiency," said James Marsh, Carousel senior vice president.
Avaya offers DevConnect members a number of platforms and interfaces with which to develop. The company offers developers technical resources and training, and three levels of membership--Registered, Gold and Platinum--based on marketing and sales commitments.
Developers interested in building Avaya-compatible applications may join the program at the Registered level for free while Gold and Platinum level members must meet certain criteria for customer satisfaction, product support, business operations, marketing and sales.
"Carousel Industries has an outstanding track record of success in the enterprise market," said Eric Rossman, Avaya vice president, Developer Relations.
"The CAPS application is a simple way for Carousel's customer base to make their Avaya IP networks even more efficient by implementing robust features like Quick to Dial, Enhanced Caller ID and Push Messaging capabilities in just about any type of enterprise environment."
