ZyXel Communications Names Steven Joe EVP Channel Business
ZyXel Communications Inc., a provider of broadband access solutions for service providers, said that it has named Steven Joe, the former D-Link Corp. president and chief executive, as its executive vice president of channel business in the Americas.
Joe's responsibilities will include building the ZyXel brand and channel development, including retail, e-commerce, VARs and resellers, distributors, direct marketing resellers and product management. He will report to Howie Chu, ZyXel president.
"Steven brings a wealth of experience and many achievements as a leader and visionary in the technology market," said Chu. "We're looking forward to capitalizing on his many diverse talents to accelerate our growth and position in the channel," he said.
Joe, in addition to D-Link also a former Vizio Inc. vice president and general manager of international and strategic business, said that he welcomed to the opportunity to build ZyXel's channel business.
"While ZyXEL's channel program has made major strides in recent years, I'm glad to have the opportunity to broaden our channels, while developing products that bring value to our consumers and profitability for our channel partners," he said.
Joe has served as a member of University of California Irvine's (UCI) Bren School of ICS Dean's Leadership Council and UCI Chief Executive Roundtable. He holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from UCI, and is an UCI Lauds and Laurels award recipient.
ZyXel, headquartered in Taiwan, operates in North America from offices in Anaheim, CA.
