HP to Open New Software Innovation Center Early Next Year
Hewlett-Packard Co. said that it will open a new, state-of-the-art software innovation center in Sunnyvale, CA.
The new facility will focus on adding to and improving HP's IT management, automation and security software portfolios, officials said. HP has identified software as a critical element of its growth strategy going forward.
Workers from a number of HP offices in the Bay Area, including those from recent acquisitions Fortify and ArcSight, will be consolidated at the new center, HP said.
"Software is the cornerstone of HP's vision to provide seamless, secure, context-aware experiences for the connected world," said Bill Veghte, HP Enterprise Business executive vice president, Software.
HP said that it will begin occupying its new facility early next year.
