Ingram Micro Inc. named winners in 15 categories for its 2010 Vendor Awards of Excellence at the distributor's Marketing Symposium held this week in Anaheim, CA.
Ingram officials said that the winners performed against measurements such as revenue, profitability, marketing program, partner enablement and services.
The list of award winners:
Business Intelligence: Cisco
Channel Community: IBM
Data Capture/POS: Motorola
Data Center: HP
Digital Signage: Samsung
Document Management: Fujitsu
Mobility: Research In Motion (RIM)
Cisco was the only vendor to win in two categories--Business Intelligence and Partnership. Earlier this month Ingram debuted a new technology showcase and demonstration facility housed Buffalo, NY dedicated to Cisco's solutions.
Intermedia, a provider of communications services, including hosted Microsoft Corp. Exchange and hosted PBX to SMBs, won in the Services category. Ingram's Seismic managed services unit handles Intermedia's hosted Exchange 2010, Office Communication Service (OCS), SharePoint 2010 and Dynamics CRM.
Since signing with Ingram about a year ago, Intermedia has made a rapid climb in channel sales, landing some 750 channel partners and posting sequential quarterly growth of 67 percent since the first quarter of this year.
Intermedia said that owing primarily to its Ingram connection channel sales now comprise more than 50 percent of the company's overall revenue.
"Intermedia brings strong support, reliability and architecture that our partners want in a hosted Microsoft solution," said Renee Bergeron, Ingram vice president, managed services and cloud computing.
"This award is a testament to our commitment to our channel partner community and our alliance with Ingram Micro," said Bob Leibholz, Intermedia senior vice president, business development and sales.
