Ingram Offers Enablement Program for Juniper Channel Partners

Ingram Micro Inc. is offering an education and training program to channel partners selling and supporting Juniper Networks Inc.'s solutions, including the vendor's EX Series Ethernet Switches.

The distributor said that its Juniper Partner Enablement Program is designed exclusively for Juniper's U.S. partners and is intended to prod sales growth of the vendor's products.

Ingram said that the Juniper program taps its existing service and support resources and new offerings such as targeted sales and business development tools, pre- and post-sales technical support, field sales and marketing collateral.

In addition, Ingram is offering Juniper partners access to its financial services, marketing services, training and business intelligence. The distributor said that it has upgraded its Juniper Virtual Lab and will continue to offer an online store with tools, reference materials and white papers.

Ingram also is providing a free resource guide, called the Juniper Power Playbook, with tips for channel partners to get the most out of their business relationship with the distributor and the vendor and establish a profitable practice.

"Networking and security represent two of the most in-demand technology categories on the market," said Ken Bast, Ingram vice president, vendor management.

"Our new Juniper Partner Enablement Program and Power Playbook provide the tools, resources and support services channel partners need to cash in on market demands and build a successful and profitable business as a Juniper Partners," Bast said.

Ingram said that in the past year it has posted double digit year-over-year growth in its Juniper business, although the distributor did not reveal actual sales data.
