CA Shuffles Execs in RMDM and Cloud Units
CA Technologies Inc. said it has named Mike Crest, a 12-year company veteran, as the new general manager of its Recovery Management and Data Modeling organization, replacing Adam Famularo, who was appointed general manager of the vendor's Cloud Customer Solutions unit.
In addition, the company hired Dave Roberts as its vice president of channel strategy, plucking him from Websense Inc. where he held the post of senior vice president, Americas channel sales.
Crest, who most recently served as senior vice president and general manager of CA's northern U.S. area, and previously worked at Corporate Express/ASAP Software, a CA channel partner, introduced himself to the vendor's channel partners this week in a letter dated September 21.
"CA Technologies understands that you are adopting new models and new technologies to grow your revenue and win the business of end customers who are themselves facing evolving business challenges," Crest wrote. "Our team is 100% committed to helping you do that."
In the letter, Crest re-affirmed CA's commitment to the channel, pointing to the vendor's monthly subscription licensing for ARCserve solutions to support MSP business models, disk-to-disk technology that offers partners competitive advantages in backup and recovery sales opportunities, and new demand generation and lead referral programs for the ERwin products.
"CA is committed to a channel-focused sales model designed to provide you with the things you need to grow your pipeline, close more deals, maintain healthy profit margins and keep your customers happy over time," Crest wrote.
